Memorial Weekend Cruise - Port Canaveral

Plan ahead now for the ever-popular Memorial Day Weekend Cruise to Port Canaveral.  

We are changing the location for the Memorial Day Cruise back to the marinas at the port. In the past, the club had anchored out at the fourth island in the Banana River and we thought we would return to that tradition but a recent island survey showed that time and tide has taken its toll on the islands and we found they are no longer suitable for an island party cook out.

Hosts Steve and Chiz have checked with Cape Marina and The Ocean Club and were told there are still slips available but making reservations ASAP is recommended. Best to use the Dockwa app or web site. The plan is to sail in on Saturday and have a cook out at the Cape Marina pavilion in the evening. Sunday morning brunch will be served on Chesire with ocean sailing in the afternoon for those interested. Those not going out can lounge around the marina pool. Sunday night is open for dinner but there will probably be some heading out to a local restaurant, we’ll send out an email if a plan comes together. Monday will be time to head home or stay another day to avoid boat traffic.
